Salt Lake City, UT - The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) is thrilled to present our 2017 gala, SIDESHOW.
Each year, UMOCA invites you to participate in one of the most elaborate and unique parties of the year: our annual Gala. Join us June 3 at the Utah State Fairpark for the Museum's largest fundraiser where you'll be mystified by a tempting menu, outlandish cocktails, alluring entertainment, and curious procurements.
This year's gala is SIDESHOW! Secondary circus acts, sideshows are most known for demonstrating daring acts and overcoming the seemingly impossible. UMOCA is excited to bring you local talent, performing incredible daredevil-worthy feats for this year's gala. UMOCA is driven by a fiery passion for the arts, and we hope to inspire you and show that nothing is impossible.
Prepare for a fiery evening, as we will host 250 of Utah's most philanthropic individuals for an evening filled with bizarre and fantastic sideshow acts, a stunning art auction, and more! By participating in this event, you are making contemporary art and art education accessible to a diverse, growing audience. Be a part of the cultural vitality of our state and join us for a night to remember. Support contemporary artists - SIDESHOW and all - at our 2017 gala.
SIDESHOW will take place at the Promontory Building at the Utah State Fairpark. Please enter through the gates on 1000 W. and take the first left. Come dressed in your most fabulous red, black or white semi-formal attire with a touch of eccentric, of course. Valet parking is available.

SIDESHOW's silent art auction features the work of some of Utah's finest contemporary art, featuring items from a hand-crafted mirror to performance experience to much more. The Silent Art Auction opens Friday, May 12, so mark your calendars and be ready to be baffled by the incredible talent that you could take home! The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) has advanced and elevated the community of contemporary arts and culture since it was established in 1931. UMOCA is a fearless voice for innovation, experimentation and dialogue surrounding the topics of our time. Located in the heart of Salt Lake City, UMOCA invites curiosity and promotes understanding of the challenging concepts that art and its reflective social commentary can present.
