The Urban Arts Festival is now accepting artist applications for the 2017 Urban Arts Festival, which will be held September 16th and 17th at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. Artist applications are being accepted online through ZAPP’s online application system at zapplication.org.

Approximately 200 artists will be selected in categories ranging from painting and photography to jewelry, clothing, sculpture, and more. The application period will be open from Monday, January 16th, through Monday, May 15th.
The Urban Arts Festival, organized by the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance, is the largest, free community art event in Utah. Started in 2011, the Urban Arts Festival has become one of the most unique and exciting events of the year in Salt Lake. Last year’s festival drew over 50,000 people, and showcased hundred of artists, performers, and musician. The Urban Arts Festival has received numerous awards, including being named the “Best New Event in Utah” and “Best Indie Art Event in Utah”. The Urban Arts Festival offers something for everyone with different festival elements, including live music, dance performances, live street art painting demonstrations, kids art activities, a “Custom Culture” automotive arts area, digital graffiti projection art, and film festival.
