MEET OUR RECENT PIANO BANK RECIPIENTS

LUIS recently received a Cable Nelson console for his home.  A sophomore at East High School, Luis has been taking piano classes at school through the Youth Enrichment Foundation for two years.  There he practiced on a keyboard and found it to be a creative outlet.  "It just felt like when I put my hand on the keyboard I felt so relaxed and mind was on another world.  Like I can create anything and be creative with music," he says.
Luis has since shown increasing dedication to learning all he can about the instrument and with the help of a generous donation we are happy to help provide him with an instrument for his home.

ELIJAH and his family are the new found owners of a Sohmer spinet.  Elijah is an 8th grade student at Valley Jr. High and has been an active participant in Harmony Hub @ Glendale each week.  He has found playing the piano to help him focus and strengthen his memory skills and is eager to have his younger brothers accompany him on drums and violin one day.

KEYS IN THE COMMUNITY

We have been busy working to fulfill several public space applications.  So far in 2017 we have placed 7 donated instruments with non-profit organizations and a retirement home along the Wasatch Front.

GIFTED MUSIC SCHOOL recently received a beautiful Mason & Hamlin grand piano.  The addition to their performance hall will serve to create more opportunities for piano duets, concertos, and teaching for their school that serves over 150 students, ages 3-18.

Other recent Public Space recipients include:  Summerfield Retirement, Utah Pride Center, and Nurture the Creative Mind.

Thank you to the generous piano donors, our friends at Barrus Pianos, Diana Belka, and the Piano Bank Committee for their help in making placements like these possible.
