Our performing arts services provide support to Utah performing artists and presenting organizations (presenters) in their efforts to enhance artistic/professional development and increase community involvement and accessibility.
OnStage in Utah – Now Open – Closes June 23rd
OnStage in Utah recognizes the important role presenters play in linking performing artists with Utah audiences. Funding is available to Utah Presenters to support a public performance with a separate community outreach activity of an in-state or out-of-state performing artist. OnStage in Utah funding is available in an amount of up to $2,000 or 50% of the artistic fees, whichever is less.
Performing Artist – Professional Development/Career Advancement Funding
The Performing Arts Program provides funding to support the professional development and career advancement of performing artists. This funding is specifically designed to help individuals who are professionally engaged in the performing arts. Projects can include but are not limited to: creation/design of marketing materials (photo, video, print, web, recording, etc.), conference registration, professional development, equipment purchase, etc.
Performing Arts Booking Conference Support – Utah Performing Artists & Performing Arts Presenters
The Performing Arts Program provides funding support for professional presenters or performing artists to attend annual booking conferences. Booking conferences are gathering places for performing arts professionals. These conferences provide opportunities for performing artists to market their art to presenters who are looking to bring performance to their communities. Booking conferences are also exceptional opportunities for artists to obtain professional development and network with other professionals in the field.
WESTAF’s TourWest Grant
TourWest is a competitive grant program that provides subsidies to arts and community organizations for the presentation of out-of-state touring performing artists. Projects must take place between September 1 and August 31. All projects must have one public performance and one educational outreach activity. TourWest standard performance grants are available in an amount of up to $2,500 or 50% of the artistic fees, whichever is less. Applicants may apply for up to two standard performance grants. Applications can be found on the TourWest website.
