Too Many Chefs in the Kitchen?
(Great Thanksgiving kicker)
(Salt Lake City, UT) --
Get the family out of the chef's hair this Thanksgiving and come work up an appetite at the Zoo!
Utah's Hogle Zoo celebrates turkey day with its annual Feast With the Beast!
Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, 9 a.m. - Noon(elephant stomp, 10:30a)
Visit the Zoo while the turkey is in the oven and watch as our keepers give food-based enrichment to many of the animals - everything from turkey-shaped piñatas to pumpkins for the animals to stomp, drop and chomp!
It's the perfect way to spend time together before gathering around the table.
*Elephants will stomp giant pumpkins at 10:30a. Media should plan to arrive early to allow time to get in place.
The rest of the animals will receive enrichment throughout the morning. (Highlights: Lions, 9a; Bears 10:45; seals 11:45a)
Thank you to the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers Association.
