AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS MOURNS THE LOSS OF BUSINESS LEADER DAVID ROCKEFELLER Philanthropist and business leader David Rockefeller died on March 20. Rockefeller was a champion for the arts and a prodigious patron, and helped create the Business Committee for the Arts. Robert L. Lynch, President and CEO of Americans for the Arts, said of him: "His ideas from 50 years ago were so prescient that they still guide our work in developing strong partnerships between the arts and business sectors today." AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO POLICYLINK'S "CREATING CHANGE THROUGH ARTS, CULTURE, AND EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT" The report reflects on the positive impacts an investment in the arts and culture can have on community development and equity. Participants include members City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events; City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs; City of Seattle, Office of Arts and Culture; Miami-Dade County, Department of Cultural Affairs; Nashville Arts Commission; National Endowment for the Arts; San Francisco Arts Commission; and Arts Commission of Greater Toledo.
