Wild Wednesdays: The Bear Facts – Big, Hairy and a Little Scary!

Explore the wonderful world of bears with an Ogden Nature Center teacher/naturalist. Investigate the lives of black bears, grizzly bears and their polar bear cousins to the North. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Wild Wednesdays: Fantastic Falcons

Free for Ogden Nature Center members
$3 children / $4 seniors / $5 adults
All ages welcome
What can dive at over 200 miles per hour?  What has a beak that acts like a can opener?  Falcons!  Learn what separates falcons from other types of birds.  Then take a short hike with a naturalist to look for signs of falcons at the Ogden Nature Center. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Preschool Discovery Days: Seasonal Surprises

$5 per child for preschool groups over 5
For ages 3-5 and their accompanying adult
Summer, spring, winter, fall, come and learn about them all.  Explore the four seasons, play games, create art, hear stories and sing songs about the seasons.  Then play outside in the winter season. Dress for the weather. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins will only be accepted if space is available. Classes may be canceled due to low attendance. Wild Wednesdays: Scaly Tales

Have you ever wondered what a snake feels like?  What about a tortoise shell?  Come find out and get an up close look at the Ogden Nature Center’s resident reptiles. Learn what makes reptiles so special in the animal world. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Scout Saturdays
Saturday, January 21 
9 am – Native vs. Invasive
10 am – Conservation
11 am – Venomous Reptiles and Poisonous Plants
$5 per scout / per class
The Ogden Nature Center provides the perfect outdoor classroom for scout activities. Have an Ogden Nature Center teacher/naturalist help your scout pass off badge requirements during these 45-minute mini classes. Reservations and a non-refundable deposit required. Family Snowshoe

Explore the Ogden Nature Center by snowshoe with the whole family!  Learn to search for signs of animals and identify local animal tracks, then head out on a hike to put your new skills to use while enjoying the frosty Nature Center.  End the morning relaxing with a cup of hot cocoa by the campfire. Snowshoes provided for both adults and children. Space is limited.  Call 801-621-7595 to reserve your spot.

Kundalini Yoga for Winter – 8 week session
Mondays, January 23 through March 13, from 6:30 – 7:45 pm
$45 members / $50 non-members
Ages: Adults
This Kundalini Yoga class is ideal for beginners/intermediates and for those who want to experience Kundalini yoga and meditation.  Bring your own yoga mat and blanket.  Wear loose, comfortable clothing and we recommend not eating for at least one hour before class. Taught by a certified instructor. Please pre-register by calling 801-621-7595.

Wild Wednesdays: Snarl, Growl, Howl: Foxes and their bigger cousins

Join an Ogden Nature Center teacher/naturalist as you investigate the secret lives of the canids (dog family). Learn about foxes, coyotes, and wolves through stories, pelts, skulls and tracks. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Family Snow Day

9 am – 12 noon
$4 members / $6 non-members
All ages welcome
Enjoy the wonders of winter at the Ogden Nature Center with a good ol’ fashion snow day. Bring the kids for sledding, fort building, and natural play in the snow.  Then cozy up inside for a winter-themed children’s movie with warm drinks and popcorn.  Sleds and tools will be provided, but bring your own as well.  Weather permitting – we’ll need snow to play!
