Perhaps the most honored and admired current American playwright, Neil LaBute is best known for his play, later adapted into a movie starring Aaron Eckhart, In the Company of Men. He has been recognized with the Arts and Letters Award in Literature by the American Academy of Arts and Letters and his play Reasons to Be Pretty was nominated for three Tony Awards in 2009.
