Ogden Nature Center Holiday Open House (full release follows)
Saturday, December 3, from 9am - 4pm
FREE admisson all day
All ages
Enjoy holiday shopping, a local artisan fair, bake sale, a make-and-take nature craft for children from 11am-1pm, complimentary gift wrapping and hot cocoa. Fresh evergreen holiday swags and centerpieces will be for sale. The Nest Gift Shop features nature related books, stationary, toys, games, art, birdfeeders, potted succulents, artisan jewelry and casual clothing. All proceeds benefit the Ogden Nature Center’s mission to unite people with nature and nurture appreciation and stewardship of the environment.
Wild Wednesday: Animal Autographs
Wednesday, December 7 at 3:45pm
Free for ONC members
$5 adults / $4 seniors / $3 kids (2-11)

Become a nature detective as you hunt down animal clues around the Nature Center – from tracks and scat to feathers and fur. Dress for the weather. We will be hiking the trails in search of animal signs. Please meet in the Visitor Center.
Living Green Ornaments
Saturday, December 10 from 12 noon-2 pm
$10 for members / $12 for non-members
Ages 10+ (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
Take a piece of the Ogden Nature Center home for the holidays! Learn to build terrarium ornaments. Miniature growing gardens make beautiful holiday decorations or holiday gifts for friends and family. Space is limited and pre-

Scavenge, save, store! Unlike humans, animals can’t run to the supermarket to fulfill their basic needs. Take part in a journey around the Ogden Nature Center to unearth the ways animals adapt to ensure survival through winter. Please meet in the
Visitor Center.
Preschool Discovery Days: Nature’s Numbers

Thursday, December 15 or Friday, December 16
9:30 am, 11am, or 1pm
$5 members / $6 for non-members
Ages: 3-5
Join us as we explore numbers in nature! Search for wildlife as we hike around the trails counting the creatures we find, learn some counting songs, play games and create a cute counting craft. Preschool programs are designed for 3 - 5 year old children. Preschool admission price includes 1 child and 1 adult. Preschool groups of 5 or more children are $5 for a child/adult pair; teachers/aides are free with participating class. General admission fees will apply to any additional family members in attendance. A non-refundable deposit of 50% must be paid in advance to pre-register groups of 5 children or more. The Ogden Nature Center provides the perfect outdoor classroom for scout activities. The Ogden Nature Center teacher/naturalists will help your scout pass off badge requirements during these 45-minute mini classes. Reservations and a non-refundable 50% deposit is required. How many words can you use to describe snow? Come find out as we celebrate the first official day of winter. Discover how animals use snow to travel, build homes, and even hide from predators. Don’t forget your hats, gloves, and snow boots! Please meet in the Visitor Center.
Holiday Hours
The Ogden Nature Center will be closed from noon on Saturday, December 24th through Sunday, January 1st. The Nature Center will re-open on Monday, January 2nd. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ogden, UT -- The Ogden Nature Center’s Holiday Open House will be held Saturday, December 3from 9 am – 4 pm at 966 W. 12th St., Ogden, Utah. The Nature Center invites everyone to come out and enjoy free admission all day, shopping in The Nest gift shop, a local artisan fair and bake sale, a kids craft and holiday festivities. This is a great day to bundle up, explore the trails, spot winter birds, and enjoy hot chocolate and nature while checking off a few gifts on your list with complimentary gift wrapping.
