My partner and some of my best friends work for the Utah Arts Festival. I have had the opportunity to volunteer with them for the past six years. Through those six years, I have become friends with several artists and introduced my niece to the joys of arts. Every year it's like having a family reunion in our city!

Arts councils are generally more in touch with the needs of local artists. I would support giving council's money that they then use to support local artists.
