The 19^th annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival is pleased to announce the 2017 Student Art Contest.  The contest is open to Utah students and offers cash awards. 

• The contest packet, found at www.GreatSaltLakeBirdFest.com contains guidelines, teaching information and an entry form. The featured bird is the American Avocet.  Entries can be realistic or stylized.  

Art is due by May 5, 2017.

1. Student Art Contest awards will be given at an awards ceremony at 5:45 pm at the Legacy Events Center at 151 South 1100 West Building 3, Farmington, UT 84025 on Friday May 19, 2017. All students and their families are invited to attend.

Right after the awards presentation, 

• Tracy Aviary will offer a family friendly program “Artsy Adaptations”.  Bring the whole family to discover the amazing adaptations of birds! In this program, Tracy Aviary educators will lead children and their families in hands-on activities exploring the connection between bird features and their habitats, including drawing their own wacky, fictional birds and turning an audience member into a bird!
