ROBERT L. LYNCH RESPONDS TO PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS
In response to election results, President and CEO Robert L. Lynch issued a statement of hope and unity, and reminded readers of the great strength and resiliency that binds us together. It is more important than ever that we use the arts to help the economy, our communities, and our nation come together. Lynch also authored a Huffington Post piece to further discuss results and hopes.

CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL REINSTATES $200,000 NONPROFIT MEDIA GRANT PROGRAM
The California Arts Council is reinvesting in Arts on the Air, which provides grants to arts-related nonprofits throughout the state in order to support nonprofit television and radio coverage of the arts. 

EL DORADO ARTS COUNCIL FEATURES VETERANS' VOICES
The El Dorado Arts Council in California is relaunching its Veterans' Voices series thanks to increased grant funding and a partnership with the El Dorado County Department of Veterans Affairs.

TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION FOLKLIFE PROGRAM LAUNCHES TRADITIONAL ARTS APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
According to the Tennessee Commission, "the [Folklife Program's] new initiative is designed to encourage the survival, continued development and proliferation of our state's diverse folklife traditions, especially those that are rare or endangered."
